I can't resist adding one more post, this one an unsolicited comment from Jonathan, our host intern in Poland:
Hey everyone, hope you all had good travels back home. I just want to say a couple things. First, I'm sorry I missed most of you on your way out and didn't get to say goodbyes. I had stayed upstairs to make sure everyone was awake and ready to go... didn't realize several taxis had already left. Wasn't my intention to miss you leaving.

Second, and more importantly, you guys rock! I want you to know it was a huge blessing to hang out with you for a week. It was easily one of the main highlights of my time here so far. You guys were like a breath of fresh air your entire time here, and I'm so thankful to have been a part of this with you. Blessings to you as you adjust to life back home, and as you share your experiences with those around you.

Today we traveled from Białystok to a church in Belsk Podlaski - about 90 minutes south of Białystok - where we assembled 8 Ikea tables and 32 Ikea chairs that were purchased for the church with some of the funds that we raised for our trip.  The tables and chairs will be used for a fellowship hall that was built in an attic space above the church.  After we got done, we were treated to coffee, tea, and fresh punchki, a traditional Polish doughnut, usually filled with a small amount of jam and covered with melted sugar, powdered sugar, or chocolate.  We then arranged the tables and covered them with hundreds of articles of clothing that had been collected by the medical university students to give to those in need.  Afterwards, several families came by and went through the clothing, taking what they could use.  On a dare, Dr. E. tried to slip on a pair of four inch stilettos – let’s just say that his feet and legs were not meant for walking in high heels. Sunday in Sosnowiec

> We were split up in twos and threes between host families last night but joined together at church today. We enjoyed hearing familiar worship tunes sung in the very different sounds of the Polish language. After church we separated again with our host families, and tomorrow will return to the church to paint and to work on preparing the floor in the new sanctuary for the next phase of construction.

Good news and our last day in Poland

Update from Dr. Entwistle and Dr. Mudrack.   First, here is an announcement from Malone’s Provost: We have good news to share! Our travel agent, Bethany, has been successful in re-booking the entire team for arrival in the US tomorrow March 13. The only challenge at this point is that the Malone team will arrive in Detroit. We will work out alternate transportation to get them back to Canton. I am not concerned.    I have been praying Psalm 3:3 all day. Please join me in prayer tonight for the safe return of the team!
